Unistal ties up with BitDefender, enhances portfolio

New Delhi: Unistal Systems, a provider of data care, data recovery, anti-virus and Internet security products, services and training has announced that it has tied up with security solutions company BitDefender. Unistal will sell BitDefender's SOHO, SME, Enterprise and Service provider range of security solutions and products in India.

BitDefender provides security solutions to satisfy the protection requirements of contemporary computing environment, delivering effective threat management to over 41 million home and corporate users in more than 200 countries. The BitDefender range of products is intended to be implemented on complex IT structures (work stations, file servers, mail servers, and gateway), on Windows, Linux and FreeBSD platforms. They are easy to use, with an installation wizard that guides users through the installation process without asking too many questions. All BitDefender products are internationally certified by Virus Bulletin, ICSA Labs, Checkmark and IST Prize.

According to Alok Gupta, Director, Unistal Systems, "Within the very first month of this new sign-up, we have inked OEM deals with leading PC brands like Wipro and HCL to ship around 75,000 user licenses of BitDefender's Antivirus product. Wipro PC buyers get the 5-in-1 advantage wherein we have bundled BitDefender's Antivirus with our own legendary products ? Crash Proof, Port Locker, PC Reporter and Data Wipe.

BitDefenders's suite of Antivirus, Internet Security & Total Security products for the SOHO segment offer real-time antivirus protection from known viruses, spyware and other malware with hourly updates; block unknown viruses using advanced proactive detection techniques; detects and removes the newest breed of hidden threats known as rootkits; provide a smooth gaming experience by reducing the system load to a minimum; reduce the risk of identity theft by preventing personal information leaks via e-mail or web and protect against phishing attacks by filtering all accessed web pages for fraud attempts.
